Eltan recently welcomed several overseas customers to its production facility for an on-site review of its pig and poultry feed additive products. The visit gave the customers an opportunity to examine the products, packaging, production environment and quality-control procedures before discussing potential cooperation and local market requirements.
The customers were particularly interested in Eltan’s Fortigain poultry and pig feed additive range, including products designed for egg-production support and pig-growth applications.
Customer Visit Objectives
For feed additive buyers, reviewing a product through samples and technical documents is only part of the sourcing process. Before developing a new supplier relationship, customers may also want to understand how the products are manufactured, packed and managed inside the factory.
During the visit, the customers focused on several practical questions:

One of the main products presented during the visit was Fortigain Egg Production Booster, a poultry feed additive intended for use in layer-farming programs.
The customers reviewed the product appearance, retail packaging and labeling. Discussions also covered how poultry feed additives may be introduced into different feeding systems and how product selection can vary depending on flock type, feeding practice and local market expectations.
For overseas distributors, packaging is especially important because the product must remain easy to identify, transport, store and present to end users. Eltan therefore discussed available packaging and labeling options based on the customer’s intended sales channel.
The customers also reviewed other poultry-related products displayed at the facility, including products for different stages of poultry production.

The visit also included a review of Fortigain Pig Growth Booster.
The customers examined the finished product packaging and discussed the product’s intended position within pig-farming and feed-distribution markets. Particular attention was given to practical purchasing considerations, including product presentation, packing size, storage, transportation and compatibility with local feed-sales channels.
Rather than discussing the product only through brochures, the factory visit allowed the customers to see the finished packages near the production and packing equipment. This provided a clearer understanding of how the product moves from manufacturing to final packaging.

During the factory tour, the customers observed the production and packaging environment used for Eltan feed additive products.

Following the factory inspection, Eltan’s team discussed the next steps required for product evaluation and cooperation.
The discussion covered product specifications, samples, packaging, labeling and order planning. The customers also raised questions related to local market positioning and the information that would be required before introducing the products to farmers, distributors or feed-industry partners.
Eltan explained that product recommendations should be based on the customer’s target animal, feeding system and commercial requirements. Technical documents and samples can be prepared for further evaluation before a bulk order is confirmed.
Where private-label or customized packaging is required, the packaging design, language, product name, net weight and order quantity should be confirmed before production.

The visit helped the customers gain a more direct understanding of Eltan’s pig and poultry feed additive products and manufacturing capabilities.
Instead of relying only on online communication, both sides were able to review the products together, discuss market requirements and identify the information needed for the next stage of cooperation.
